Settlement 2107
In 2107, debt is currency. Bodies are collateral.
The Settlement—a public-private death game—promises the indebted a chance to clear what they owe for the low cost of risking death at every step.
Season 30 has just begun. Gat wakes in a hospital with no memory of his past, who he is, or what the fuck he’s supposed to do next. He’s accompanied by Glicky: a talking gun whose AI has no filter.
The show’s host is Lulu Marrow, an eighty-year-old, sexed-up ex-porn star who looks thirty-six and knows how to package a massacre for the audience. She binds Gat in a Sub-Agreement, making even his most intimate responses part of the show.
As players and monsters close in, Gat falls in with Luna and Gohdoh, her fiercely protective dog. But each time Gat chooses to protect someone, the Settlement finds another way to make that choice cost him.
His life is already part of the show. The question is whether the Settlement gets to write the rest of him, too.
